Rejoice, the Lord is King!
This upcoming Sunday, March 31, is Easter Sunday.
I absolutely love Easter. I love Christmas too (it's my birthday, as well as celebrating Christ's), but Easter is the holiday that I most look forward to during the year. Whenever I get a new calendar, that's the date I look for first. Why? Let me tell you.
Easter Sunday is the day we as a human race get to recognize and celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. 3 days after His crucifixion, our Redeemer rose triumphantly from the tomb, breaking the bands of death so that we, too, will live again. What could be more beautiful than recognizing this incredible gift? The ability to live again? This song, sung by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, could not better express the joy in my heart over this holiday. I ask that you pay attention to your feelings as you listen to the words...what truths are being spoken to your heart?
I can testify, with all the energy I could muster, that Jesus is the Christ. His Atonement is INFINITE. I can testify that He loves each individual who has, is, and will ever walk this Earth. He is mine, He is yours. He is the Son of the Almighty God. He is our Comforter, Companion, Brother, Leader, Teacher, Friend, Shepherd, Savior, Redeemer.
Let us all remember Him as we continue on this week in our preparation for Easter.
